Program Objective:
The goal of the Ambassador Academy is to build a well-informed-school community that cultivates open dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders. The program fosters a partnership between the school district, families, and community members in providing our students with an exceptional education.
Program Overview:
The Brenham ISD Ambassador Academy is an annual program that provides citizens of our community with a better understanding of public school operations, specifically tailored to the operations of Brenham ISD. This program allows participants to learn more about the following:
- Board member roles and responsibilities
- Curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Superintendent and administrative cabinet roles and responsibilities
- District Strategic Plan
- District operations related to general business and school finance
- Campus life both at the elementary and secondary level
By the end of the program, ambassadors will be prepared to become district advocates help educate the community on lesser-known aspects of how public schools function and operate, and share accomplishments and positive news about the campuses.
Program Details:
- Ambassadors will meet once per month for a total of 6 sessions beginning in October.
- A maximum of 30 applicants will be selected.
