Clay Gillentine

Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services

Mr. Gillentine has been serving as Brenham ISD's Assistant Superintendent since the summer of 2021.  Mr. Gillentine has over 22 years of experience in the K-12 school system serving in different capacities. 

He began his career in education as a teacher and principal at Pine Tree ISD.  He has served as an assistant principal, principal, director of administrative services, and director of student services.  

Kay Domel, SSC

Student Services Coordinator / Homeless Liaison / McKinney Vento Liaison / Foster Care Liaison

Mrs. Domel has been serving the district for over 30 years in a variety of capacities and is currently serving as the Attendance and Dropout Prevention Specialist.

On becoming a Student Services Coordinator, Mrs. Domel said, “I am excited about this new position and the direction the school district is going in by extending the community involvement. I look forward to continuing my efforts in my new roles that benefit the students and families in our wonderful community. As a veteran administrator of our district, I welcome the new challenges that this new position will afford me.”

Courtney Mason

Community Engagement Coordinator

Mrs. Mason led as the principal of Krause Elementary School in Brenham ISD for 10 years, and has 18 years of experience in education.  As the Community Engagement Coordinator, Mason helps the district in providing programs and services to promote and encourage parents to participate in their child's education.  Mason also helps arrange parent meetings and parenting classes, in addition to compiling information and resources to activate parent participation.
